For a fascinating look back to May Day in Padstow during the seventies, this collection of photos taken by Dave Walkling is spectacular. Dave was a studying photography at the London College of Printing in 1975, and it was this year that he travelled to Padstow with a group of fellow students to photograph the festival.
He captured many moments throughout the morning and into the late afternoon. The colour images are from the beginning of the day, while the black and white photos were taken from morning to afternoon and are in roughly chronological order.
