If you want to see what it’s like in Padstow when the Obby Oss roams the streets take look at these videos below. This series of short films were shot during the Mayday celebration held in 2007 and are narrated by John Buckingham, the chairman of Padstow museum. They show some of the different aspects of the custom and give an insight into what the day means to the people who live there.

If that is not enough for you, here are two great videos kept by British Pathe, which give a rare glimpse at the Padstow Obby Oss during 1930 and 1932. Definitely worth a look.
